Vantage WHS Consulting - WHS compliance for NSW construction, warehousing and manufacturing

WHS Consulting · Navigating safety compliance

WHS Compliance, Handled.

Fixed monthly WHS and OHS compliance for construction, warehousing and manufacturing businesses across Australia. No lock-in. No surprises.

Sound familiar?

WHS laws differ state to state - and keeping up is your job, not someone else's.

One stop-work order can cost you more than a year of compliance.

You can't justify a full-time safety manager. But you still need one.

Simple, fixed monthly pricing.

No lock-in contracts. 30 days' notice, cancel anytime.

About Vantage WHS

Vantage WHS Consulting was built for the businesses that keep Australia running - the builders, the warehouse operators, the manufacturers. I provide practical, legislation-backed WHS compliance without the overhead of a full-time safety manager.

Matthew McGregor - Principal Consultant

With hands-on experience across Australian construction and industrial environments, I bring practical WHS knowledge that goes beyond paperwork. Every document I produce is benchmarked against the WHS or OHS legislation that applies where you operate and tailored to your specific operations.

Industries I cover

Construction

Residential and commercial builders, subcontractors, and trades. SWMS, site safety plans, induction programs, and SafeWork NSW compliance.

Warehousing & Logistics

Distribution centres, 3PL operators, and transport businesses. Manual handling, forklift safety, racking inspections, and emergency procedures.

Manufacturing

Light and heavy manufacturing, fabrication, and processing. Machine guarding, chemical management, silica and dust controls, and ISO-aligned procedures.

Every state, benchmarked correctly

Australia runs two safety regimes. Seven jurisdictions — NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory — operate under harmonised WHS laws based on the model WHS Act. Victoria runs its own Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004.

A document written for one is wrong for the other. I benchmark every document to the legislation that actually applies where you work — so a Queensland SWMS cites Queensland law, and a Victorian site gets OHS Act documents, not a reworded NSW template.

SafeWork NSW residential site checklist

The exact checklist I use on site audits - what inspectors look for, what gets builders issued notices, and how to get ahead of it.

  • SWMS present, site-specific and signed for all high-risk work
  • Site induction records completed and on site
  • Emergency plan displayed and communicated to all workers
  • First aid kit fully stocked and accessible
  • PPE requirements documented, supplied and enforced
  • Scaffolding inspected and tagged by a competent person
  • Electrical safety - RCDs in use, leads inspected and tagged
  • Housekeeping - walkways clear, materials stored safely
  • Subcontractor WHS documentation on file
  • Principal contractor signage and site rules displayed
